2nd Grade Math Review
A review of the Common Core Math Standards taught in the 2nd grade. I will reteach standards and do practice problems with the students to better understand the material. After each lesson, we'll play review games to test comprehension of each lesson. Homework is provided after each class to reinforce skills taught in the class.

US Grade 2
Week 1 - Place Value, rounding, graphs, greater than, less than, and equal. We will also cover skip counting, addition, subtraction, and number forms—base Ten blocks. Week 2 - Money, recognizing coins and value, add groups of coins, time, elapsed time, and 2-digit addition/subtraction. Week 3 - Arrays, multiplication facts practice, and 2-digit number times a one-digit number. Week 4- Measurement in customary units and the metric system, shapes both 2D and 3D, attributes of shapes, partition shapes into equal parts, halves, thirds, fourths, and fact families. Week 5 - Fractions - comparing, mixed number fractions, modeling to represent fractions, adding and subtracting fractions. Week 6 - Area and perimeter /Addition and Subtraction within 1,000 /mental math/ Week 7 - Lines, angles, symmetry Week 8 - Review all the standards we covered in class. Also, this session is a great time to help students with any area of math that they are struggling with and provide them with more resources to continue practicing. I will provide resources, websites, and other helpful information to help students improve their skills.
Learning Goals
Students will improve understanding of addition and subtraction, place value, time, money, shapes, fractions, graphs, and the beginning understanding of multiplication through arrays.

Supplies needed for class: Pencil Eraser Notebook or spiral for practice and notes. Ruler Crayons or markers 1 small bag of M&M’s or Skittles (Class #1) Coins
