2Nd Grade Math Bootcamp: Fundamental Math Skills for Those Going Into 3rd Grade

In this 2-week second grade bootcamp, your child will receive focused instruction from a veteran teacher to bolster their confidence and mastery of fundamental math skills. Throughout the program, we'll cover important and tricky 2nd gr. topics including telling time, counting money, and regrouping in addition and subtraction.

Day 1: Tell time to the quarter hour and the many ways to say it.
Day 2: Tell time to the nearest 5 minutes, using a.m. and p.m.
Day 3: Identifying coins and counting mixed coins
Day 4: Counting mixed coins in word problems
Day 5: Regrouping addition
Day 6: Regrouping subtraction
*Note I will touch on all of these each day, but spend more time on the topic as scheduled.

Structured with the "I do, we do, you do" model, each session will begin with guided instruction from me, followed by collaborative practice activities where students work alongside their peers, and finally independent practice to reinforce learning.

Learners will engage with me and their peers through interactive activities, games, and discussions, ensuring a dynamic and enriching learning experience that builds both confidence and competence in math.
