Don't let your child lose reading skills over the summer break! Research indicates 2 months of reading skills are lost over a single summer. In this fun, hands-on, interactive class, we practice those skills so readers' skills stay strong!

Class Experience
Students will review phonics skills taught throughout the first grade year, so that their skills stay sharp over the summer.
As a certified teacher of over 27 years and an experienced reading specialist, one of my favorite things in life is watching early readers grow! I look forward to the privilege of teaching your child!
Homework will be optional, but will be provided each week so that readers have plenty of opportunities to keep their reading skills strong.
9"x12" dry erase board + marker; play-dough; shaving cream (and surface to use it on like a cookie sheet or plate); crayons; markers; paper; pencil; working printer
Mrs. Hall will informally assess each reader during class and provide feedback to parents.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
