US Grade 2
What will be taught?: This class teaches a full year’s curriculum of Math, English including; reading, writing, grammar/phonics and spelling; Science, including hands-on experiments and Social studies including civics for 2nd grade on a flexible schedule. No live meetings will take place but lots of fun, hands-on videos will be posted to complete at your leisure. Learners can interact with the teacher and other learners and take part in the set activities. What topics will the class cover?: Each week, we will have rotational lessons in English, Math, Science and Social Studies. There will be activities posted for math, English, and spelling practice each week. Teachers are available to answer any questions and will give feedback on the homework. How is the class structured?: Our Flex classes provide the opportunity to participate in a fun engaging class on a schedule that works for you. Our classes include interactive games and other hands-on activities as well as physical movement to engage every child in their learning. All of our classes are taught in a 100% inclusive and child-led environment. over 8 WeeksLesson 1:
Spelling and Economics
We will go over the weekly spelling words and then we will have an economics lesson on needs and wants.
Lesson 2:
Math 1 and Reading 1
We will learn about place value in math. Then we will practice reading sight words.
Lesson 3:
Math 2 and Reading 2
We will practice identifying place values in numbers. Then we will practice reading more sight words.
Lesson 4:
Science and Grammar
In science we will learn about living and nonliving things. Then we will learn about sentence structure.
