* Students should know the letter sounds before signing up for this class. In this 8 week class, students will learn ELA skills taught in 2nd grade. In first quarter, we will be working on reading foundations. We will read and write each day in class. Please bring a piece of paper and pencil to each class. Students will also need markers or crayons for some classes. Day 1: On the first day of class we will do introductions and review skills taught in 1st grade. We will practice word families and rhyming words. Day 2: Reading and writing sight words. Students will need markers/crayons and paper for this class.
