Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Beginner Level
In this class, you will find some ideas and activities geared toward kids' healthy development. Based on function and occupation-centered activities, the opinions shared in this class promote the underlying skills needed for action and performance in kids. As a special education teacher with five years in the field of elementary level, I am here to promote the development of kids through play and movement to make a positive impact on kids today.

My teaching style is students oriented, based on data and informal observation.

I love teaching through playful activities. I am looking forward to implementing research-based activities to help students in this area of fine motor skills. Fine motor skills are necessary for every task that a child completes. From play to handwriting, to managing clothing fasteners, and coloring; Fine Motor Skills are needed indeed. Motor skills like pincer grasp and hand strength are essential for a child’s development and ability to use their hands in small motor movements.

Florida Teaching Certificate in Special Education
I am a certified special education teacher with a master's degree. Of the 16 years of experience working with students who needed extra attention in occupational therapy, I enjoyed working with students at the elementary level for five years. What I love the most is informally teaching my five-year-old grandson to read in English and Spanish.
