2D Angles Landscape and Still Life Art Semester Class

Art learners will learn how to draw and paint still life and landscape. We will learn to paint realistic objects using 3 values and draw angles on houses or buildings. We will paint 5 full paintings.

Class Experience
In this course art learners will learn how to make an object look round and give it a 2D affect. They will gain confidence over the 12 weeks with this 3-value technique starting with simple round subjects. Next they will move onto learning to draw angles in cubes and houses or buildings. Art learners will also learn how to paint landscapes and use 3 values to add depth and a realistic look. At the end of class art learners will have the confidence and ability to move onto harder subjects of interest.
I have taken years of classes on drawing and acrylic painting techniques. I am on the 8th year teaching art to children ages 7-18. I have taught ongoing painting and drawing classes in groups and privately. I have had the privilege to teach art learners that have entered art shows and have moved on from my art classes to continue their art education at art school.
Before the next week, finish any drawings or paintings started in class that were not at our stopping point by the end of class.
Shading pencil #6B Drawing paper Eraser Water container Paper towels Only get supplies for Watercolor or Acrylic depending on what your art learner prefers. Watercolor - these are the supplies you need ( I will go over these supplies in the welcome email sent after you enroll): A variety of watercolor pan colors Watercolor paper Watercolor flat brushes small, medium and large sizes Watercolor round brushes small, medium and large sizes Acrylic paints(in a tube) - you will need these paint colors or paint color close to it. I will show you what you need in the parent video. Titanium White Hookers Green Cadmium Orange Cadmium Yellow medium hue Di oxazine Purple Cadmium Red Deep Hue Burnt Umber Brushes - acrylic flat brushes a variety of sizes small, medium and large Acrylic round brushes a variety of sizes small, medium and large Canvas pad Something to mix colors on like a paper or Styrofoam plate or a washable palette An air tight container to store paint in that has been squeezed out of the tube
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please make sure each learner is in a quiet space and they know how to mute and unmute. How much they get to unmute will depend on how much noise is in background. Some supervision or assistance may be needed with squeezing acrylic paint out of the container. Please remember that an Outschool requirement is that parents are not in the camera view at any time during class. If you need to assist your learner, please make sure you are not seen on screen while assisting.
