Students will be able to create a drawing that is all their own.  Depending on age and ability, they will learn about shapes and lines that comprise the subject, and how these will serve as a guide toward completion. They will learn about shading and blending techniques using either /or both mediums,  depending on whether they would like to add this feature to their piece. The choice will be theirs.

I am a lifelong, self- taught artist, beginning at a very young age. I received 3 years of advanced art instruction in secondary school. My experience includes selling my work in an art gallery which I owned and operated. I continue to be privately commissioned and give pieces as gifts. Prior to retiring from working in special education, I applied my skills in the form of art therapy for behaviorally challenged children in the classroom setting.
