Description
Class Experience
I have cultural and diversity training that allows me to communicate the sensitivity of black history in a respectful and educational manner. I am familiar with black history through family ties and Identify as a black woman. Furthermore, I have provided educational services surrounding these topics in the past and have had a great response.
All curriculum and materials are included.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students who complete all work will receive a digital certificate no later than March 5th, 2023. Students must complete all work to receive this achievement.
No live meetings, and no time outside of class.
As you know some of the histories of Black Americans have involved violence. In an effort to minimize any negative effects on our students, these occurrences will be acknowledged, but will not be the main focus of our course. We ask that parents have a brief conversation surrounding slavery and segregation with their students before enrollment into this course.
