In this 6 week course, students will learn how to design and perform a fair / unbiased scientific inquiry and present a science fair project. The goal of the course will focus on learning the skills of the scientific method, learning how to collect and interpret data and working on good visual and oral presentation skills. Students will also have a chance to give feedback to each other in breakout rooms throughout the lessons. The course will culminate in a science fair presentation day...
Throughout the course, students are expected to complete work on their science fair projects to stay on track and move on to the next section.
Learners will need to gather their own supplies based on their science fair topic. Depending on topic choice, this will vary, but for the most part will be household items, or items that can easily be purchased online. Students have full control of their topic, so in turn, have full control over their supplies used.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
