Why am I offering this class? I am offering this class to students for two main reasons. The first reason I am offering this class is because I love the game of basketball at all levels recreation, High School, College, Professional. The game of basketball is a pure simple game that has had a number of creative and memorable players through the decades. The second reason I am teaching this class is because I miss watching the game. Due to unprecedented circumstances in our world basketball has been taken away and this seems like a great time to pay homage to a few pioneers of the game! What makes me a good teacher for this class? In my opinion what makes me a good teacher for this class is my passion for playing and teaching the game of basketball. I was privileged enough to play college basketball and I have 15 years of coaching High School Varsity basketball.
Homework will consist of two parts... 1) Gathering information about various players stats, stories, and game film. 2) Organizing and putting the students gained information into a strong, thought out presentations.
2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
