In this course, students will learn about paintings from across the world and the timeline of history. Students will discuss and analyze the art they see. Will consider techniques the artist used and methods of painting. Students will learn about the painting's reception at the time and its importance today in art history. We'll consider what we know about the artist or painting and what we learned in the meeting. There may be some cross-over with other Summer of Art/Art Work of the Week Classes. I will make arrangements with parents on case-by-case baize. Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a college art teacher and have taken parts from my larger lectures to make this course. We look at many works and artists from across history and culture. I am not an expert on all these works of art but I will delve to find any information students seek and together we can learn even more.
