I am a Licensed Zumba, Zumba Kids, and Zumba Kids jr. Instructor and have taught Zumba classes for four years. I have also taught ballet for over 15 years. I am a NYS and California certified Early Childhood and Special Education teacher with self-contained and general education classroom experience. My self-contained experience is mainly with students with Autism, ADHD, and speech impairments. I have a passion for working in inclusive settings with students who are neurotypical and neurodiverse together.
I am a certified Special and General Education teacher and I take great pride in making my classes accessible to all. Students have the option to participate to their ability level and visuals are always paired with verbal directions.
No pre-reqs for this class. This is a perfect class for a child's first Outschool/Zoom experience.
 1 file available upon enrollment
Zumba requires: -Safe footwear to dance, jump, and move in -A glass of water or water bottle within reach
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
During Zumba class, students must have a few feet in each direction to move and should have their device angled so that they will be visible while dancing.

Parents may want to remain close by to encourage safety, attention, and to help with any technology issues that might arise.

If any technological issues arise during class (ex: teacher is inaudible), parents can send me a message in the chat on Zoom and I will do my best to resolve the issue.

If a family has any special needs, comments, or concerns before or after class they can feel free to send me a private message on Outschool and I will do my best to accommodate to your satisfaction within 48 hours.

This Zumba class is great for students who are neurotypical, neurodiverse, Autistic, have ADHD, speech impairments, dyslexia, Down Syndrome, and many other disability classifications.

Families, often new students (to Zumba or online classes) will take a few sessions to simply sit and observe. Depending on the child this may last for 1 session or 10 sessions until the student feels comfortable and confident enough to participate. I try to allow students to take their time to warm up and quietly encourage them when they begin to engage more in class.
