Description
Class Experience
Learners will practice reading, writing, vocabulary, spelling, grammar, listening, speaking, and pronunciation.
I am a native English speaker with a 150-hour TESOL qualification from Arizona State University and post-graduate qualifications in Applied Linguistics from Monash University. I am also a lawyer in Australia and I homeschool my own children, therefore speaking and teaching clearly have been a part of my life for many years, and now I am also applying these skills to teaching others. Other applicable courses that I have completed that pertain to this class include: - Reason and Persuasion: Thinking Through Three Dialogues By Plato; - Technology and Ethics; - ADHD: Everyday Strategies for Elementary Students; - The Clinical Psychology of Children and Young People; - Everyday Parenting: The ABCs of Child Rearing; - A Brief History of Humankind.
Learners will need to finish the work that they were working on in class that day in their own time if they did not finish it during class time. They can either upload a screenshot or a document to the classroom, or show their work in person at the start of the next class. Each class recording will be made available so that learners who need to can review the lesson from each day before moving on to the next day.
Learners will need paper and pens or pencils to write with to complete tasks. Relevant handouts will be uploaded at the start of the week to the classroom to be printed out ahead of classes, including but not limited to cloze passages, word searches, and alike.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
