Class Experience

Are you looking for a dance space where you can learn a 2-3 minute dance, work on your dance technique, and overall just have some fun? Then this is the workshop for you!

Our workshop will meet 2 days in a row for one week. Dancers will start with a 30 minute stretch, strengthening, and guided technique class where they will learn how to warm-up their whole body for the rest of class. The class will then have 45 minutes of choreography for the students to learn. The last 15 minutes involves working on performance qualities and improvisation skills. By the end of the workshop, the students will learn a 2-3 minute dance.

Day 1:
30 minutes of Strengthening/Stretching/Jazz Technique
45 minutes of Jazz Choreography (Learn 1/2 of dance)
15 minutes of Performance and Improvisation

Day 2:
30 minutes of Strengthening/Stretching/Jazz Technique
45 minutes of Jazz Choreography (Learn ending 1/2 of dance)
15 minutes of Performance and Improvisation

My teaching style is aimed at creating a fun, vibrant, open, and connected dance space. No prior experience is required to join the workshop, however, we will be jumping into technique, choreography, and strengthening right away, so just be ready to sweat and move together while we find our personal artist voices!

If you and your dancer are not seeing a workshop time/date that works with your schedules, please don't hesitate to reach out because I would love to find a time that works for both of us.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Dance requires physical participation, therefore, please make sure your child has an open workout space, slip-proof socks or bare feet, a water bottle near by, and activewear type clothing. Since I am not physically present in the room with the dancers, injuries from moving around are possible if not properly supervised by an adult.
Supply List
For class the students will need a water bottle, athletic/loose fitting clothes to move in, bare feet or no-slip socks, and a safe open space to dance in.

If students have dance shoes (i.e. ballet shoes, jazz shoes, hip hop sneakers) they are welcome to wear them during the specified classes. However, they are not required.
