Class experience
Novice level class (some knowledge of colors or animals is helpful but not needed) This fun and engaging class will teach useful vocabulary to get your child conversing in Spanish that follows the ABCs is the primary focus, using simple questions to promote conversation and understanding. Learning is focused on speaking accompanied with visual cues, imagery, and repetition. Students will learn to speak correctly using correct pronunciation of Spanish. Students will learn and recall vocabulary for foods, the home, items around the house, every day items, animals, toys, and the natural world. Students will speak in Spanish during each class and learn to navigate conversations (questioning techniques and simples questions + examples of ways to respond.) Students will apply understanding of vocabulary to answer simple questions in class and ask them to fellow students. Students will learn to speak another language in a more holistic and natural process. Students will have fun and be challenged beyond what they think they can do.
Homework Offered
Homework is optional, although the teacher will ask students to bring examples of vocabulary (realia) to the next class.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
