2 & 3 Digit Math Addition & Subtraction

In this math class we will work on practicing 2 & 3 digit math problems with and without regrouping (borrowing and carrying) and story problems. Answers may be within 100 or 1,000. We will practice math problems through interactive games, activities and movement. This class is perfect for students who have a basic understanding of addition and subtraction and can add and subtract smaller numbers fluently. 

Each week your child will receive supplemental materials after class such as a game or worksheet to help reinforce what we learned in class. Some of it may be a review, and some may be more of a challenge to extend your child's learning. 

This class will be a perfect fit for your learner if they are working on regrouping: borrowing and carrying, but have already been introduced to the concept. 

This class is geared toward 2nd-3rd graders. Advanced 1st graders or struggling 4th graders may also benefit from this class. If your child is outside the age limit, please send me a message. 

My classroom and teaching style is interactive and engaging. All students will be able to actively participate in various ways either through speaking or showing understanding through movement i.e. put your finger on your nose if you know the answer; everyone shout out the answer; let's do 10 jumping jacks since the answer was 10 etc.

Some weeks (not every week), we may play a Kahoot game. When we play, the Kahoot Game Pin will be posted the day of class. A second device is recommended during Kahoot, but not required. I will read aloud the questions so all students can still participate even if technical troubles arise.
