Join us as we continue to grow and become confident in our writing! In this course, we will cover essential skills for first-grade students to become successful writers and understand grammar. Join us in writing through engaging and fun prompts and activities. We will meet for 35 minutes 2 days a week. We will begin class with a grammar mini-lesson and activity. ELA Standards: Types of Sentences - statements - exclamations We will spend the last half of the class focusing on our writing...
Students will learn: - types of sentences: statements and exclamations - Learn how to identify story elements, plan and write stories (characters, setting, and events) - Revising and Editing
For each class students will need: writing paper (pdf provided) pencil eraser crayons, colored pencils, or markers activity sheets (provided at least 24 hours prior to class)
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
