Class Experience
Whether your child is a proficient reader and great at sight words or a struggling reader who has difficulty recognizing high-frequency words, this class will help reinforce what they know and support them on their learning journey. This course targets a different set of First Grade sight words each week with interactive games in our once-a-week live meeting. I have a Master of Education degree in Elementary Education and taught in primary (1st-3rd grade) classrooms for six years. I have an ESL endorsement and have more than five years of experience teaching online classes for kids.
* Pencil * Paper * Some games may use a printable, but they will be simple enough for families to sketch out at home if you're not able to print. * Some games may use dice, but the teacher will use virtual dice for learners who do not have dice at home.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will use Fry's First 100 Sight Words in our games.
