Beginner - Intermediate Level
The course will focus on the four domains of math that includes number & operations, algebraic thinking, measurement & data, and geometry. Each week will include videos of modeling the lesson, YouTube videos, and homework assignment (s). Feedback will be given after receiving the assignments. Assignments can consist of worksheets and video demonstrations of the task.

The learning goal for this course is for students to strengthen their numbers and operations,  algebraic thinking, measurement and data, and geometry skills to become better mathematicians and solve math problems with courage.

Getting to know your counting chart and pictorial models
 The student will be able to become familiar with a counting chart and how it can be used to help with counting. The student will be able to learn and utilize various materials such as 10 frames, number lines and drawing counters.

Lesson 2:
Using pictorial models to identify the sum of a multiple of 10
 The student will be able to use pictorial models to identify the sum of a multiple of 10 and a one digit number.

Lesson 3:
Using pictorial models to solve word problems involving joining and separating
 The student will be able to use pictorial models to solve word problems involving joining and separating, and comparing sets within 20 and unknowns as any one of the terms in the problem such 
as 2 + 4 = [ ]; 3 + [ ] = 7; and 5 = [ ] - 3.

Lesson 4:
Strategies to solve Addition and Subtraction Equations and word problems
 The student will be able to explain strategies used to solve addition and subtraction problems up to 20 using spoken words, objects, pictorial models, and number sentences. Students will also apply these strategies into word problems.

Parental Guidance
YouTube videos will be used to highlight the lesson.
Supply List
Pencil, paper, any manipulatives you may have. Counting chart, ten frames, number lines and other strategies will be provided.
