 Week 1
Lesson 1
Week 1: The Case of the Apple Abductor
This lesson is about mastering addition within 10. Students will solve puzzles and word problems to uncover the mystery of disappearing apples. Through engaging activities, they will reinforce their basic addition skills and earn their first detective badge.
 Week 2
Lesson 2
The Case of the Harvest Hogger
This lesson is about developing subtraction skills within 10. Students will tackle intriguing word problems to discover the identity of the Harvest Hogger, enhancing their understanding of subtraction concepts in a fun and interactive way.
 Week 3
Lesson 3
The Case of the Fall Fires
This lesson is about comparing numbers up to 40. Students will learn to find the greatest numbers as they investigate the cause of mysterious fall fires. This session emphasizes critical thinking and number comparison skills.
 Week 4
Lesson 4
The Case of Scarecrow's Straws
This lesson is about identifying the lowest numbers up to 40. Students will use comparison skills to solve the mystery of the missing straws, improving their ability to discern number values in various contexts.
 Week 5
Lesson 5
Week 5: The Case of the Poisonous Pies
This lesson is about adding doubles and near doubles. Students will solve problems involving doubles to uncover the creator of poisonous pies, enhancing their addition skills with these specific strategies.
 Week 6
Lesson 6
The Case of the Pilfered Pumpkins
This lesson is about adding three single-digit numbers. Students will apply their skills to crack the case of the pilfered pumpkins, learning to handle more complex addition problems effectively.
 Week 7
Lesson 7
The Case of Leafy Lane
This lesson is about tackling addition within 15. Students will engage with Leafy Lane’s colorful puzzles, further developing their addition skills in an engaging fall setting.
 Week 8
Lesson 8
The Case of The Turkey Kidnapper
This lesson is about mastering subtraction within 15. Students will solve clues to track down the kidnapped turkey, building their subtraction skills through a festive Thanksgiving-themed mystery.
 Week 9
Lesson 9
The Case of the Amazing Acorn
This lesson is about using a mix of addition and subtraction within 10. Students will uncover the secret of the amazing acorn by solving mixed math operations, reinforcing their ability to switch between addition and subtraction.
 Week 10
Lesson 10
The Case of the Falling Apples
This lesson is about solving mixed addition and subtraction problems within 15. Students will apply their full range of math skills to unravel the final mystery of falling apples, culminating their detective journey with a rewarding challenge.

Details: Detectives will receive a new detective badge (certificate), and level up through the ranks after they solve each mystery.
This class is suitable for visual and kinesthetic learners, with interactive activities and visual aids that support a variety of learning styles. Please inform me in advance if any specific accommodations are needed to ensure an inclusive 
Students should have some basic knowledge of addition and subtraction within 10 and the ability to compare numbers. Familiarity with these skills is helpful, as the class will include a mini-review of each concept. Mastery is not required.
Handout for each lesson, pencil, white board or scratch paper just in case they need it to work out any problems.
