Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 1
Beginner Level
This won't be your typical math class, we will work on math hands-on math assignments. We will create our very own interactive math notebook. Each lesson will start with a warm up using Kahoot or Google Slides, then students will watch a video of me explaining the particular math topic. Afterwards students will work on their interactive notebook. Each topic will have its own hands-on learning activity, with foldables, sorting, and more. The interactive math notebook is designed for students to use it over and over to practice the concepts.

Students will interact by using Kahoot and Google Slides.

Students will receive a complete 100-page packet to create their very own math interactive notebook as well as other projects all designed by myself.

Hi everyone!

I have taught in person for over 15 years and online for 4 years. I have taught math, social studies, cultural studies, English Literature, ESL, and AP Seminar for learners from 6 years old to adults. I've also taught arts and crafts, sewing, crocheting, drawing and painting for children 6 years old to 16 years old.

I have a BA in Linguistics from the University of Texas (Hook 'em horns!), an MA in Sociology from Sam Houston State University, and an MA in Teaching English from Hamline University. I also have my doctorate in English Pedagogy from Murray State University.

My approach to teaching is making sure everyone has fun, learn important facts, and are completely and utterly engaged in the content.

A fun fact about me is that I was a certified teach in Texas and I homeschooled my own two children for several years. Now, I'm currently training my Pomeranian puppy to be a good boy!
