Description
Class Experience
Learners will learn various methods such as dot method Number bond and number sentences Number line and Number path method Understanding word problems Commutative property of addition a + b = b + a. True Number Sentence. Dot and number additions Drawing, writing equations, and making solution statement for word problems by adding unknowns or by separating knowns. Visualization of double numbers Solving double number problems plus 1 and plus 2 Explaining subtraction through number bond Correlating addition and subtraction through number sentences. Solving picture problems through unknowns Using addition to help us solve subtraction problems Unknown in subtraction number sentence as an unknown in addition number sentence Solve subtraction by counting on or by counting back. Solving word problems by crossing out known Solving word problems by circling the known Solving word problems by picture number bonds Solving word problems by crossing out the unknowns and circling the knowns Solving problems by putting together or taking apart the addend to find the unknown Counting up or counting back by addition or subtraction number sentence and deciding on which strategy is the faster and more efficient. I will attach worksheets on outschool classroom post that are optional and can be done at any time after the session is over. I will also post the problems we did in class on outschool post I will also post the Answer Key to the worksheets provided the next day around 9 am.
Please have the following material ready before class: 📐paper 📐pencils 📐eraser 📐folder to keep their notes or worksheet 📐color pencils (optional)
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
📐Please make sure to remind the learner to use the restroom and to eat before the class starts. 📐Make sure the learner is sitting in a quiet place with no distractions. Also, make sure you are able to hear the learner just in case if there are any technical issues.
