Description

Class Experience

We will start with introductions, then listen once to the song while following the sheet music on the screen, understand the best 16 bars to use for an audition, talk about the character and the plot, warm up our voices while learning some technique, then perform the 16 bars! If anyone wishes to perform it solo, they can. Please know that I will be giving feedback (positive or constructive) and may encourage other students to give feedback (positive only) to anyone who wishes to sing solo....

As I mentioned in the description, I may give feedback (positive or constructive) to singers and may encourage other singers to give feedback (however, other learners will be asked to give positive feedback only, for example, I may ask other learners "What were some things that you loved about X's performance?", or "Where did you notice X was using amazing/healthy singing technique?"). This feedback will be provided only for anyone who wishes to sing solo. There will be plenty of opportunities for those who wish to sing solo, but it is totally optional and never pushed or required.

30 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
