This ongoing course will cover all the basic topics important to preschoolers such as literacy, numeracy, science, creative arts and social skills. The class will meet every morning from 9:00 am to 9:45 am to discuss a brand new topic that is essential to preschool learning. Learners will learn via the 5 senses of touch, taste, smell, hearing and sight. These kinesthetic methods of learning will ensure a well-rounded education that is student focused and emphasizes learning from all the sensory output among these young learners. Tactile stimulation and imagination go hand in hand for the growth and development of preschoolers and this course uses such methods to achieve high levels of learning and comprehension. Learners will interact with each other and take turns answering questions about what they see, hear, taste, touch and smell around them. They will learn all about the world and what it has to offer their curious minds at such a crucial stage of development. No required skill set is necessary as learners will develop useful skills along the way in this course.
Learning Goals
Students will learn skills related to literacy, numeracy, social skills, creative arts and science. They will use these skills in a variety of ways to demonstrate ongoing learning for a variety of topics such as math, telling the time, the alphabet, reading, writing and the like. All of this learning will take place in a supportive student centered learning environment that encourages students to be all they can be and develop emotional, social and intuitive intelligence along with traditional academic subjects.
