Zia Tutoring Services uses the Orton-Gillingham approach as direct, structured, multi-sensory way to teach literacy. It follows the "science of reading" that helps all students to be successful, especially for those with dyslexia or other reading difficulties. Learn to do hard things, be persistent, and improve decoding skills to build reading SUCCESS.

A typical reading tutoring session includes:

Review of previous taught concepts...
*Phonological Awareness and Visual Drill (consonant and vowel drills)
*Blending Drills (sounds, syllables, morphemes)
*Auditory Drill
*Syllable work or Syllable Division (as needed)
