Homework
All I ask is that the learners in this class practice outside of class time. They do not need to put in so many hours that it distracts from their homework or other commitments, but they should at least be picking up their yoyo outside of class hours.Class Experience
This class offers learners a chance to learn yoyo tricks in a 1:1 environment. If you haven't already checked out at least one of my beginner and intermediate classes, this may be a good starting point before entering this class. I mention this because if the learner is completely new to yoyoing, we will just be learning the tricks taught in my beginner class anyways. Nonetheless, I accept learners of all skill levels in this class. The majority of time spent in the class is teaching the learner yoyo tricks with in-depth instructions, from as many angles as possible. I typically try and give the learner 3-4 minutes of practice time for every 1 minute I'm instructing. This gives them a chance to try things out for themselves and get comfortable with the given trick component before we move on. It also gives me the chance to identify what I need to re-teach or explain in further detail.
Learning Goals
Students will learn yoyo tricks according to their skill level. There is a growing list of thousands of yoyo tricks out there, and we will spend time learning what is best for where they're at.
Yoyo maintenance, safety, cleaning, and repair will also be discussed.Other Details

The fortunate thing about picking up the hobby of yoyoing in the 2020s is that the quality of beginner yoyos has gone way up. Here I will list some recommendations for good beginner and intermediate-level yoyos, but please know that there are many more viable options on the market. I recommend consulting yoyoexpert.com for more of an in-depth look.
