1:1 Writing Tutoring and Coaching for 3rd - 8th Grade

During this private tutoring session, we will focus on the student's current writing abilities or project. Our time will be guided by the student's needs and can encompass any part of the writing process, including brainstorming and topic selection, thesis statements, outlines, rough drafts, writing introductions and conclusions, paragraph development, transition sentences, in-text citations, and works cited pages. Tutoring is available for one-time sessions or over multiple meetings.

If your learner does not have a current writing project but needs to enhance their writing skills, I am happy to tailor our time to develop their writing abilities. We can concentrate on paragraph writing or essay writing, starting from the learner's current level and building skills from there.

Our sessions will include a combination of direct instruction, examining examples, and practical application of what we've discussed to the learner's work. These sessions are beneficial for students struggling with paragraphs, working on five-paragraph essays, writing ten-page papers, and everything in between.

Additionally, I offer support for on-demand writing tasks, creative writing projects, and specialized writing for the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). Whether your learner needs help with timed essays, developing strong arguments, crafting compelling stories, or understanding the nuances of the SSAT writing section, I am here to provide comprehensive guidance to ensure their success.
