This class is taught in English.

Students will develop a deeper love of reading, writing and speaking English, through a carefully curated sequence of sessions which meets your student where they are, and builds upon their strengths, whilst always ensuring their time in class is enjoyable.

Students will develop greater clarity in their reading comprehension, writing aptitude, knowledge of grammar, and spoken conversation.

Students will learn how to harness the autonomy and support that can grow in our nurturing English mentor/mentee relationship.

I am a highly experienced primary school teacher in the UK, as well as being a published writer for children and adults. I am a native English speaker with a degree in Politics, Psychology and Sociology from the University of Cambridge. As a demonstration of my confidence and expertise, I share here that I have been a Keynote Speaker at the United Kingdom Literacy Association's 54th International Conference, and at the Cambridgeshire Festival of Education.

Homework Offered
Should children and parents request it, I will provide short continuation tasks which students can complete between our sessions. These will build upon the live class activities. A maximum of two hours' worth of writing time would be expected, if optional tasks are requested, and I will read children's written responses ahead of our live sessions, and give live feedback.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Written feedback reports will be made available to parents after every five sessions, if these are requested. These formative feedback documents will help to ensure our tuition remains purposeful, and allows parents and children regular opportunities to redirect our focus as the needs of the child change.
Grades Offered

All source material will be dependent upon the needs and focuses of each student. All source materials will be shared with families if requested.
