Class Experience

Beginner - Advanced Level
Depending on your level and interests, we can focus on:

For Beginners: Starting a new Unity project, basic coding in C#, and using Unity’s features like prefabs, materials, and assets.

For Intermediate Learners: Expanding on an existing project, learning advanced scripting, and creating complex systems (e.g., AI, player controls).

For Advanced Learners: Polishing and optimizing a nearly finished game, preparing for a build, particle effects, sound design, accessibility design.

Parental Guidance
A Unity account is required to access the Unity game engine.
Pre-Requisites
No pre-reqs required! I'm happy to help you starting with the basics.
Supply List
If a student hasn't used or installed Unity before there are a couple programs to download and install.
- The Unity game engine https://unity3d.com/get-unity/download 
- The interactive development environment, Visual Studio https://code.visualstudio.com/download

Install Unity before the session starts, since it will help us focus on development. Don’t hesitate to contact me if there are any issues or questions with the installation process.

To install Unity:
- Install Unity Hub: a way to manage different downloaded versions of Unity
- Sign into Unity with Google or create a Unity ID
- Go back to Unity Hub and go to the installs tab on the left.
- Click the “Install Editor” button for the latest 2022 release (right now its 2022.3.54)
