In this one-time class, I will provide tutoring and homework help for children in kindergarten through second grade in the areas of reading, writing, math, phonics, colors, shapes, letters, etc.

US Grade Kindergarten - 2
In this one-time class, your student will get tutoring based on their assignment or homework. If you would like general tutoring for grades K-2 (not assignment specific), I can provide that as well. Let me know ahead of time what your student needs assistance with so I can be prepared with any materials that might help them. For attendance and rescheduling, please be advised that I adhere to the Outschool policy and procedures. I am unable to accommodate rescheduling for those who need to reschedule within two days of their class time. Please be sure your student is capable of paying attention and participating for 25 minutes before signing up your student for the class. My teaching style involves allowing the student to share and talk as much as possible. I encourage students to ask questions. Finally, I like to include fun educational games with my lessons, when possible.

I am an elementary school counselor with 18 years of experience. I also teach on other online platforms - VIPKID, Cambly, and Zebra English. During my school counseling career, I've taught many topics in classrooms including self-esteem, coping skills, anger management, social skills, and more. I've also had the pleasure of running clubs based on topics of dinosaurs, unicorns, math, writing, and much more! Being able to share my interests with my students is a luxury!
In Outschool, some of the classes I plan on teaching will include topics on dinosaurs, unicorns, self-esteem, mindfulness, relaxation, coping skills, anger management, social skills, K-2nd grade math, and writing. I truly enjoy teaching these topics and look forward to working with your student!
My teaching style is interactive and learner-focused. I often use power points, stories I've written, discussions, and games in my lessons! I believe that teaching should not only help students learn about the topic being taught but that it should also be engaging and fun!
