US Grade 4
In these 45 minute 1:1 bi-weekly tutoring sessions (Mondays and Tuesdays), students will be given help with reading language arts skills tailored the the learner's needs. Students will be able to share their assignments through screen sharing so that we are able to work together. These tutoring sessions, since they are tailored to fit the learner's needs, can be a range of focuses. We can focus on a specific skill your learner wants to improve on, a particular assignment, studying spelling or vocabulary words, or I can tailor our sessions to help for general reading language arts improvement. In these sessions, your child will practice these skills: -decoding words through morphology (prefixes, suffixes, and base words) -reading comprehension (reading nonfiction and fiction texts based on their interests) -text fluency (various activities such as finding the missing word, timed racing games, etc.) -spelling (interactive spelling games and practices) -vocabulary (interactive vocabulary activities that are multi-sensory-based) Additional Information: -Parent communication at least 48 hours prior to the first session is required in order to plan for instruction that is tailored to your learner's needs. What will need to be shared with me is areas you would specifically like to focus on for your child, your child's academic needs and strengths, your child's interests, and your end goal for your child through completing these tutoring sessions. Sharing this information with me allows me to do a better job at tailoring these sessions to your child's needs! REFUND POLICY: -Please understand that these are regular bi-weekly sessions. If a student is more than 10 minutes late without notice, it will be considered a missed class, per Outschool policy. However, if you message me to let me know your child will be running late, I am more than happy to wait for your child! -This class is not eligible for a refund if missed. -If you need to cancel, I will reschedule when possible or issue a refund, as long as I am notified at least 48 hours in advance. (Exceptions may be made for emergency situations.) -With this being stated, my business depends on the attendance of my students who can commit to bi-weekly for these sessions. If your child needs to cancel more than twice a semester, I may have to open that spot to other students. Thank you for reading and understanding these terms and conditions!
