1:1 Tutoring: Personalized English/Lit Curriculum
In this 1:1 class, students will work through an English/Lit curriculum designed specifically for their needs/wants. Guardians and the teacher will work together to create a specialized week-to-week plan. Grades will be provided if needed.

A grade sheet through Google Sheets will be set up for guardians by request. Weekly or monthly grades can be posted if requested. Otherwise, students will receive a grade at the end of the tutoring period.Class Experience

The beauty of home education is being able to create a curriculum that meets the needs and wants of the student. In this one-on-one class, the student will complete a quarter, semester, or year-long English/Literature curriculum carefully constructed specifically for the student. Prior to the first lesson, the guardian and teacher will work together to choose books, essays, and other assignments for the student to cover that is age/grade appropriate. Guardians will receive a tentative schedule so they know what the student will be covering in class. A grade sheet through Google Sheets will be provided upon request. During class, we will focus on discussion of the text, examining non-fiction texts, covering new concepts, or working on assignments. Each week, students will be assigned homework. The amount of homework will be determined by the desires of the guardian. Students will receive in-depth feedback on all assignments.

Bachelor's Degree from University of Central Arkansas
I have a bachelor's degree in writing and journalism. I worked as a journalist for over five years and won several awards during my career. A large portion of my college years was spent studying creative and essay writing. I have self-published a few fiction books and I am currently working on another. Before changing my degree to writing, my study focus was on education. This change has given me knowledge of teaching and writing. I have been teaching ELA since 2014, and I have been teaching on Outschool since 2020.
