Assessment
The learner will be informally assessed in class as we work through example problems. The teacher will ask comprehension questions throughout class to gauge student understanding.Class Experience
US Grade 9 - 12
Beginner - Advanced Level
Learners will choose the topics that we will cover in class. Learners can choose topics from Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, etc. These can be topics that they would like to learn more about or topics they may be struggling with. The teacher will identify road blocks in the learner's comprehension of the topic at hand, and break problems down into manageable pieces individualized to the learner. It is required that the learner or parent informs the teacher of the topic of choice as far in advance as possible. Please also share any specifics about the learner's experience with the topic. For example, if this is a topic the learner is beginning to explore individually or if it is a topic the learner is struggling with in another class. This will allow the teacher to gather additional resources that will be used during class. **Note** I also offer 25- and 55-minute versions of this class.
Learning Goals
Students will get the chance to work through relevant examples under my guidance. By the end of the class, learners should be more confident in their ability to solve similar problems independently and have a better understanding of the topic(s) of their choice.Other Details

Please bring any example problems and resources the learner currently has related to the topic we will be covering. Paper and pencils, a calculator, cheat sheets, graphs, formulas, etc.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
