Assessment
There will be no formal assesments of the child's learning, I will gradually give the child harder work as I see progress.Class Experience
These 1:1 classes are taylor made to fit the requirements of your child. Generally in class I will include 1-2 English sheets, 1-2 maths sheets, a read aloud book, some fun phonics games and perhaps a simple craft or colouring activity. I love to make these classes completely adaptable to the child's needs and interests, so activities can be based around your child's current hobbies or curiosities, such as vehicles, dinosaurs, faeries, animals, fire trucks, and so on! An example of a class for a 6 year old who loves animals: - A pets counting sheet, where the child counts all the different types of animals up to 20, then writes the correct number in the circle. - A safari animal pattern matching activity. The child matches the animal patterns to the correct animal, eg spots to the leopard, stripes to the zebra etc. - An animal rhyming words activity, where the child thinks of as many words as possible rhyming with the given animals. Eg. cat (mat, hat, bat), goat (coat, boat, float). - A minibeasts word search looking for words such as butterfly, grasshopper and beetle. - A colouring sheet of a tiger. - Finish off by reading a chapter of ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’ by Roald Dahl. An example of a class for a 3 year old who loves vehicles: - A vehicle and jobs matching activity, eg. match the paramedic to the ambulance, match the firefighter to the fire truck, etc. - Build a bus activity. The child sticks on the missing items to the bus eg. the wheels, the windows, etc. - Transport tracing activity, where the child traces the lines within the lorry, van and boat. - Space rocket pencil control sheet, where the child follows the line to show the journey of the space rocket. - Helicopter colouring sheet. - Finish off by reading ‘Little Blue Truck’ by Alice Schertle. Please feel free to message me any more questions or any other things you'd like to add into the classes. I look forward to hearing from you! ESL and SEN children very welcome.
Learning Goals
The learning goals are completely individual to your child. The general goal would be to make progress with reading, writing and maths, and for the child to have fun whilst learning about topics that interest them!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! I offer fun preschool activities and other classes for younger children. I incorporate books, music, simple writing skills, counting, cutting and sticking, and other simple arts and crafts. I love to make learning as fun and ‘hands on’ as possible!
I have a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years and have been working with children for the last 20 years. I have worked in nurseries, schools, SEN schools, preschools, crèches and within families. Most of my experience has been with 3-5 year olds however I have worked with ages 0-16. I have also written two books on creating children’s activities and have created some work books.
At home I homeschool my own 3 children, and in my spare time I love to go on nature walks, bike rides, create sewing projects, take photos, and I am always learning something new through reading and watching documentaries!
Thanks so much for checking out my lessons, I hope to meet you soon!
