Class Experience

I have been practicing music therapy for over six years and am a nationally board-certified music therapist accredited by the Certification Board of Music Therapists. I received my bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from Drury University and was president of my local student organization. After college, I completed a six-month intensive internship where I provided care for individuals age birth through hospice care. In the past, I have supervised college-level students in their practicum completion period. Currently, I own and operate a private practice providing services to individuals of all ages and ability levels. I am a classically trained violinist as my primary instrument, have played piano for over twenty years, and have passed music therapy competencies on all instruments that I teach. I am experienced in working with the following populations: developmental disabilities, early childhood intervention, speech and language deficits, traumatic brain injury, physical and neurological rehabilitation, emotional and mood disturbances, foster and residential care youth and adolescents, assisted living, memory care, dementia care, and hospice.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
