Description

Class Experience

In this ongoing course, learners will practice their spelling skills with Ms. Becky!

During the first session, Ms. Becky will ask the learner get-to-know-you questions and will administer a diagnostic assessment in order to determine where we should start for our tutoring sessions. You can also please let me know if there are certain patterns or words that your learner is struggling to spell.

Each tutoring session will be 30 minutes. We will go over the spelling words, take a practice test,...

This class is taught in English.

Learners will improve their spelling skills and strategies.

Learners will practice their spelling words on their own through a method of their choice, that I will introduce and explain during our tutoring sessions.

Optional Materials:
- a whiteboard or piece of paper
- something to write with: a whiteboard marker, pencil, pen, etc.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Power Spelling

At the very beginning, I will do a diagnostic assessment to determine what patterns or words we should focus on. Then, once we begin a list, I will informally assess the learner until they reach a level of mastery.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

For Power Spelling, I will create an account for your learner and give clear instructions on how to log in and what to do once signed in.
