This is a coaching session for songwriters at various points in their journey. You might be a songwriter who needs help with lyrics or a songwriter who needs help with melody. We capitalize on your strengths and find your style.

- Learners will find their own songwriting style and approach while refining their skills to create music.
Yvonne: I have a BMus from McGill, a diploma from Grant McEwan (studying composition) and many years lived experience as a musician. I write songs and perform a wide range of music. I have worked with songwriters who can't read music to those who can write a score. I strongly believe in Learner Led and Project Based Education.

Frequency: includedFeedback: includedDetails: Learners will need to work on their songs or songwriting exercises outside of class. We will do some work during class but as songwriting can take time, there will be a need to keep working on projects beyond class.
We are a Neuroaffirming Organization! We support learners with different needs and meet them where they are at. We are experienced scribes and enjoy exploring different approaches to writing and creating for each learner.
An instrument or way to accompany themselves, note paper, music paper (can be supplied as a pdf if needed), pencil, eraser, patience, and perseverance. Ensure that you know how to change your audio settings to have Original Sound for Musicians selected to be able to share sound properly in class.
