Class Experience
I am a veteran high school teacher with ten years of teaching experience and over ten years of tutoring experience. I have taught and tutored a variety of subjects in the science field including: Chemistry Biology Physical Science Earth Science I can help with a variety of topics including genetics (Punnett Squares), balancing equations, and stoichiometry. My teaching style is energetic and encouraging. I use illustrations and mnemonic devices to help students understand difficult concepts. The session format can be determined by the parent and learner. I can provide problems to work through with the learner, or I can assist with specific problems, topics, or assignments. My name is Hilaire, and I am a High School Chemistry teacher. Well, by title only. I have been teaching for 10 years and have taught a variety of subjects: Spanish, Biology, ESL, Chemistry, Physical Science, and Math. I also have tutored a variety of subjects for over 10 years. I am also National Board Certified.
In my classes, my philosophy is to get students interested in the topic and make it fun! Students are much more invested when they enjoy the class.
