1:1 Summer Help in Reading, Phonics, Comprehension, HFSW: ESL & Special Needs

In this Ongoing private reading class, the class will be personalized for the learner. The teacher will assess each student's reading ability. If a parent identifies specific areas they want and need for their child to work on, we will customize lessons accordingly. 

For some families, I have worked on the students' class spelling words or helped them learn the high-frequency sight word lists sent home from their in-person classroom teacher. 


We will work on the following:
* Phonics
* High-Frequency Sight Words
* Blending letters to sounds
* Blends, digraphs, trigraphs
* Reading for fluency through passages and sentences 
* Reading books is a possibility
* Reading Comprehension 
* Story Elements
* Writing words
* Writing sentences
* Write several sentences to make up a paragraph


THIS CLASS IS MY MOST POPULAR CLASS. I TEACH CLOSE TO 10-16 ONE-ON-ONE CLASSES PER WEEK. 

 ESL LEARNERS ARE WELCOME. Students with IEPs or learning challenges are welcome.

I am a licensed and certified teacher with 27 years of teaching experience in preschool through sixth grade. My BS Degree is in Elementary Education and Early Childhood, and my Master's Degree is in Library Science and Information Skills. For the last 3 1/2 years, I have been teaching students online with a school in Asia and now through Outschool. I love teaching and helping students excel in their reading and education!
