Description
Class Experience
This ESL-friendly class offers a one-on-one reading help session for students who love cats and nature! Together, we will read original stories about Pumpkin and Marigold the cats. These two curious cats with big personalities have many adventures. They discover interesting things about nature as they make new animal friends. We will go through the text, getting vital reading practice, and pausing to practice difficult phonics and words. With each story we finish, we will complete a story map...
Students will get reading practice with plenty of targeted help for trouble spots. Students will learn skills to aid them in thinking about what they're reading and what they've read in a way that helps them understand and remember content.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
