US Grade 7 - 10
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this ongoing course, students receive individualized feedback on their writing. Whether they're completing an assignment for a class or working on a creative project, brainstorming their college admissions essay, or needing help with SAT reading and writing, this is a place where they can ask questions and create an action plan on how to move forward. Sample topics that can be covered include: - Writing the five-paragraph essay - Paragraph organization and clarity - Reviewing SAT reading/writing strategies or material - Grammar and punctuation overviews - Creative fiction or poetry exercises - Help with class assignments or English homework - Brainstorming and feedback on college admissions essays Learners are encouraged to come to class with a specific goal in mind and have questions prepared. We'll spend the first session getting to know one another and discussing the student's goals. I'll ask guided questions to get to know their specific strengths and areas of challenge and dive into the content. Students will be encouraged and provided with the tools they need to improve their writing and meet their goals!
