Class Experience
These private lessons are the perfect opportunity to get you started on the violin, get the help you need to learn a new song, or if you've been playing for a while, work on technique to get you to that next level! These lessons are 45 minutes long, which is ideal for students who like to dive deep into the material or who already have some experience playing the violin. Topics and skills covered can include (depending on student's level): instrument care, proper violin and bow hold,...
Learners will need their own violin and bow in good working condition in the correct size (if between sizes, it is best to go with the smaller size), rosin, a shoulder rest or foam pad (optional but highly recommended), tuner (free apps will work for this!), and assigned music (to be determined in lessons). If your learner does not already have an instrument, please feel free to contact me - I am more than happy to provide information about finding a good quality violin for your learner! The student or an adult should tune the violin before class to help maximize our class time. If you have never tuned a violin before, I am able to provide a video in the classroom to help you get started.
