Homework
1 hour per week. If more than one session is booked, homework will be assigned based on what was accomplished in the session. The time required will depend on the learner. If only one session is booked, the only homework is to take what was learned and write an awesome essay.Class Experience

In this private 1-on-1 session, we work on crafting impressive essays for college admissions. Bring 1-2 essay topics you are considering OR an existing essay you're working on and we will... - Explore brainstorming techniques to uncover engaging essay topics aligned with your aspirations, highlight your personal growth, and reflect on any transformative experiences. - Harness your voice, confidence, and unique self-expression through storytelling techniques. - Learn to structure, organize, and edit your essay from introduction to conclusion. - Learn how one main essay can be a template for others. Writing an essay for college is just the beginning. You will be telling your story for years to come in the form of professional bios, resumes, job-seeking cover letters, and more. The skills you will learn working with me you will be able to use for many of your future endeavors. I recommend at least 2-3 sessions to complete, critique, and edit an essay. I spent the first decade of my professional writing career as an essayist writing personal thought pieces for women's and parenting lifestyle magazines. My first published book is a memoir and I've assisted many authors on writing theirs. I consider personal essays to be the short-story versions of a memoir as they focus on a particular time in one's life and they are the hero in their own story.
