This is an ongoing tutoring class where students receive 1:1 help with their full Spanish courses. Lessons and sessions are developed in response to students' needs and personalized to their pace.

1 hour per week. Homework is generally optional and provided as needed. Homework should be viewed as an opportunity for extended practice or deeper learning. Any extension option would not take more than 1 hour to complete and would be checked/reviewed at the start of the next session.Assessment

¡Hola y bienvenidos a clase! This is an interactive and engaging class where each session is crafted to meet the unique goals, interests, and needs of every student. Whether you’re just beginning your Spanish journey and want more guidance or you’re looking to improve your existing skills, this class is suited to you! What to Expect: ⭐Personalized learning: I make my lessons based on my students’ needs, goals, interests, learning preferences, strengths, and growth opportunities. ⭐Engaging Activities: I like to incorporate a variety of teaching tools including, but not limited to, music, visual aids, physical cues, videos, short readings, speaking exercises, games, and more. Sometimes we will also do a few direct instruction lessons when we’re growing with a new or challenging concept and need a deeper explanation. ⭐Support and Guidance: I’m here to support your Spanish journey! Whether that means going over a test or homework, mastering a new concept or skill, or challenging yourself in Spanish, I will do my best to help you achieve your goals confidently! ⭐Enrichment opportunities: I may create assignments or suggest some practice activities and resources between classes that will help you learn and master concepts or skills we are working on. These are generally optional but are great opportunities to grow your Spanish skills. ⭐Language of Instruction: Lessons can be entirely in Spanish or may incorporate a blend of English and Spanish depending on the student’s ability and readiness level, the content being taught, or the student’s goals. What Not to Expect: Given the highly customized nature of this class, it is not designed to provide a pre-established curriculum. We may learn about or practice a variety of topics and skills at any given time based on the student’s needs and goals. Parental Guidance
If needed, we may use a third party website called "Conjuguemos." This is a website that helps students practice and master verb conjugations. If we use the tool, I will create an account for your learner from my teacher portal. The account will generate a generic username and password that I will share with your student. No student email or contact information is required and this website does not collect any identifiable student information other than the name I input for the student (last names can be reduced to an initial). Please let me know if you have any questions about this tool or if you would like to opt out of its use for your learner!
