This class is best for students who are reading at KINDER OR FIRST GRADE LEVEL - who are still sounding out words, guess, make a lot of errors when reading, and have trouble reading simple unfamiliar words. How to Optimize Tutoring Sessions The learner should: • Attend all scheduled sessions • Be on time • Use a laptop or desktop computer instead of a tablet or phone • Be seated at a table • Have a writing notebook and pencil ready for spelling • Have a grown-up nearby in case technical assistance is needed • Wear a headset • Use a mouse instead of trackpad for easier management of interactive activities
