Homework
1-2 hours per week. To maximize the value of these lessons, it's important for learners to engage in consistent practice. Ideally, daily practice is encouraged, but I understand that each learner's schedule and lifestyle are unique. Together, we will collaborate to craft a practice routine that aligns with your schedule. This approach ensures that your practice routine remains both enjoyable and effective.Assessment
I primarily assess learners through observation, carefully monitoring their progress. Most students will also learn from a music theory method book which includes written homework which is evaluated during each lesson. Occasionally, we may also incorporate digital assessment tools like fillable PDF worksheets and Boom Cards in order to gauge musical literacy, including note and rhythm reading abilities.Class Experience

You will receive personalized guidance and instruction based on your age, needs and musical goals. 🍏 How I Will Teach: The first lesson serves as an introductory session to assess your background in music, understand your prior musical experience (if applicable), and establish your learning objectives. Following this initial session, a long-term plan will be devised, including recommendations for method books and repertoire which align with your musical goals. 👩🏼🏫 Teaching Style: My dedication to my private students is unwavering and I enjoy building lasting bonds with them! As a teacher, I have often been described as "passionate", "caring" and "tech-savvy" by parents, students and administrators. While I enjoy creating structured lesson plans, I tend to embrace organic learning moments as they arise. 🙋🏽 Learner Interaction: Since these are private 1:1 lessons, you will receive complete one-one-one attention where I'll address your strengths and weaknesses with the overall goal of helping you become the best player you can be! 🧠 Required Experience or Knowledge: No prior musical or playing experience is required for these lessons and beginners are warmly welcomed.
