PLEASE READ ALL DETAILS BEFORE ENROLLING. One-On-One, Private Reading Support/Tutoring We can help beginning and struggling readers learn to read. This class is best for students who are reading at KINDER OR FIRST GRADE LEVEL - who are still sounding out words, guess, make a lot of errors when reading, and have trouble reading simple unfamiliar words. Older students who are reading at this level are welcome. This is an academically focused class. This is an ongoing class with no end date. This is a perfect fit for students with dyslexia. • During the first week, we will complete a reading screening. This will help us determine the best place to start in the phonics curriculum. We will send you the results of the screening and recommendations by the end of the first week. Ms. Angelica may be online to assist during the initial screenings. • This class adheres to a structured literacy curriculum following the Science of Reading principles. Families are encouraged to enroll with the understanding that our course curriculum and teaching methods have been meticulously planned and designed. Your trust in our expertise is invaluable as we strive to provide the best possible learning experience for all students. • Learner Expectations: The learner should be kind, safe, and respectful. Phones and tablets are not ideal. • Be seated at a table. • Have a writing notebook and pencil ready for spelling. • Have a grown-up nearby in case technical assistance is needed. • Wear a headset. • Use a mouse instead of trackpad for easier management of interactive activities. • Reschedule/Cancellations We must value each other's time. Once enrolled, please provide 24-hour notice to request to reschedule a session. No-shows or last-minute cancellations will not be offered a make-up session or refunded. For refund requests, you may email support@outschool.com. • Please arrive on time. It is important to be logged in on time. Missed minutes will not be made up. We will wait 10 minutes for late arrivals then log off. ⭐️Ms. Allison⭐️
Allison has taught preschool and kindergarten. She is a Special Education Teacher and has worked with children in kindergarten to fifth grade.
Allison graduated from The University of Montevallo with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education as well as Masters Degree in Elementary Education. She went on to get a Masters Degree in Special Education from The University of Alabama! Roll Tide! Allison also has an Education Specialist Degree in Special Education from Jacksonville State University.
During her free time, Allison likes to read, go to the beach, watch movies, and spend time with her fiancé, Anthony.
⭐️Ms. Mary⭐️
Mary has experience working with students in grades K-12 in various roles including: teaching English to speakers of other languages (K-12), teaching special education (1-6), and teaching Kindergarten in the general education classroom. Mary has traveled on humanitarian missions to India and Haiti. She studied at SUNY Geneseo earning her undergraduate degree in elementary education and her masters in English to Speakers of Other Languages at Nazareth University.
In her spare time, Mary enjoys singing, drawing and watercolor painting as well as walks with her husband, son, and dog, Piper, through the woods or by the lake.
⭐️Ms. Angela⭐️
For the past 20 years, Angela has been teaching at the same elementary school she attended as a child. She has taught Kindergarten through third grade and has served as her grade representative for five years.
Angela earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Jacksonville State University in Alabama. She received her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University in Arizona, and her Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University in Virginia. Angela is certified in Gifted Education and LETRS and has received training in the Orton-Gillingham Approach.
In her free time, Angela enjoys reading, spending time with her family, conducting literacy research, going to the mountains, and completing Diamond Paintings.
⭐️Ms. Marianne⭐️
Marianne has been a teacher for 29 years, teaching students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Throughout her teaching career, Marianne has developed a passion for teaching students to read and has strived to make learning fun and engaging.
She holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Florida. Marianne is certified to teach Special Education for grades K-12 and Elementary Education for grades K-6 in Florida.
In her free time, Marianne enjoys camping and hiking with her family. She lives in a 114-year-old house with her husband and their dog, Lucy. They have two adult children. Marianne also loves to read, travel, dance, and do crafts.
⭐️Ms. Shannon B.⭐️
Shannon is a former classroom teacher, teaching Kindergarten for 12 years! During her time as a teacher, she developed a love for teaching reading and phonics. She gets excited to see the progress a student makes, no matter how small!
Shannon attended The University of South Florida and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She is a certified K-6 teacher in Florida. She also has endorsements for Reading and ESOL.
Shannon is currently in her second year homeschooling her 2 boys. She and her husband also take care of their small hobby farm in Alabama. She has goats, pigs, turkeys, ducks, rabbits, quail, and lots of chickens. She also has 3 cats and a German Shepherd named Charlie. During her free time, Shannon loves to read, craft, watch movies, and spend time with her family.

Shannon is also a speech-language pathology assistant for a school district in Alabama and has 20 years in education, including being a Reading Specialist, ESL Specialist, and Elementary School Teacher.
Shannon graduated in 2001 from Troy University in Troy, AL with a Bachelors Degree in K-6 Collaborative Education and is a 2021 graduate of Utah State University with a degree in Communication Disorders and Deaf Education.
Shannon has a 15 year old daughter and a 7 year old Maltipoo and enjoys spending time with her family, working out, reading and traveling.
⭐️Ms. Amelia⭐️
Amelia has taught Kindergarten through 6th grade and has worked in both public and private schools. She loves to teach reading and has recently focused on teaching phonics and reading online to struggling readers.
Amelia earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education from Geneva College. She specialized in Reading and also pursued a minor in Spanish. She has held teaching certifications in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Amelia loves guinea pigs and enjoys reading mystery novels. She is also working on improving her Spanish skills and helping her husband with church ministry.
