In this ongoing class, your learner will be given private English instruction using the Crystal Clear and Learnaling curriculum in the areas of vocabulary, pronunciation, phonics, grammar, free talk and reading from Levels 1-5.

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 3
In this ongoing English instruction class, learners will have the opportunity to practice their conversational English, as well as writing and reading skills. I am a native North American English speaker and want to help students practice their skills so they can be understood in real world English settings. Using either the Learnaling or Crystal Crystal curriculum, (Levels 1-5) a wide range of topics will be taught but include the following: colors, animals, numbers, hobbies, school,...
Students will improve their understanding of English through a variety of speaking, reading and writing through vocabulary, pronunciation, phonics, grammar, reading passages and free talk conversations.
I have been a teacher for over 22 years in Pennsylvania. My focus is in Elementary Education, specifically in Montessori 6-9 education. I have also been a Title I learning support teacher for 10 years with K-6 students, and taught grades 1-2 for 2 years. Furthermore, I have taught online extensively online (Vipkid, Gogo Kid) with a wide variety of international students since 2018. I have taught over 6000 students and have received over 1500 five star reviews. I love helping children learn and feel successful on their individual learning journeys!
Homework Offered
Review homework of skills taught in class will be given following lessons. Learners will be expected to complete this individually if possible.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Formative assessment will be made through teacher observation, question and answer activities during class, and homework which will be checked regularly by the teacher.Grades Offered
I will supply the curriculum for students. A pencil and paper will be needed occasionally for class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
For this course we will be using the either the Crystal Clear ESL curriculum or Learnaling resource. Families are not required to purchase anything required with usage of either curriculum. I will be using the content in a screen share capacity. Students may write on the slides to show understanding of content. Homework will be partially supplied from either Learnaling, Crystal Clear ESL and partially through my own teacher made review activities. Epic Books may be used occasionally in a screen share capacity but does not require a subscription from families.
