Description
Class Experience
Join me for a fun and engaging one-time class where English as a Second Language (ESL) learners ages 6-8 will learn vocabulary, grammar, and conversation skills. Each class will focus on a different topic, depending on the interests and level of the learner. Learners are encouraged to use complete sentences throughout class. Some TPR (total physical response) will be used. I am a certified ESL teacher (TESOL), and have taught over 3500 ESL classes to both children and adults over the past 2...
Learners will learn new vocabulary words related to the topic of the class. Learners will get conversation practice with a native English speaker. Learners will practice using vocabulary words in complete sentences.

There is no homework for this class. Learners are encouraged to continue using the vocabulary and grammar we learn in class with their friends and family.
We will use the built-in writing and drawing tools on Zoom throughout this lesson. If learners would like to take notes during the class, a pencil and paper is recommended.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Informal assessment (checks for understanding, thumbs up/thumbs down) will be used throughout the class.
25 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
We will be use the ESL Pals curriculum in this class. It is in PDF form, and I will share my screen with learners. They will then use the built-in drawing tools on Zoom to interact with the slides and complete the activities.
